Might and Power Racing Club - Existing Members
- Commencing in 2008 Members are requested to attend at least two lunches a year to retain their membership status
- If a Member is moving interstate or overseas, they can temporarily defer membership until they return, simply by advising us via email (mpclub@mpclub.org.au)
- Members are entitled to invite a guest to each lunch In keeping with our simple philosophy, there will continue to be no membership fees - aside from the cost of lunch
Might and Power Racing Club - New Members
• Total membership objective
- We propose a total membership target of no greater than 75 to be built up over a 4-5 year period.
- At the completion of each year (commencing 2008) we will review the current total membership number and open it up to new member applications.
- The new member intake number for a given year will be determined based on the number of lapsed members for the year and the moderate growth target outlined above.
- The intake number will be communicated to Members at the end of the year.
- Upon reaching a total of 75 members we will consult the members to decide the future position on total membership number.
• New member admission
- After the new member intake number is communicated, existing Members can nominate prospective new members members annually. The new member nomination period runs from the start of September up to the Caulfield Guineas luncheon (mid October)
- Should a Member wish to nominate a new Member, the nominee will need to have attended at least two lunches as a guest during the year The nominee will also require endorsement from a second Member.
- One nominee per Member per year.
- A Member must be a member for a minimum of 2 years before being eligible to nominate a new member.
- Existing Members can nominate new members simply by sending an email to the Might and Power Club email address including the nominee’s name and contact details.
- If we receive more nominees than our intake quota for the year, new members will be selected on a 'first in' application basis. Any nominees that miss out will go onto the waiting list and receive first preference at the next intake.
- New members will be admitted annually at the end of the calendar year and announced at the Caulfield Guineas Eve Luncheon.
